The International Journal of Urban and Regional
Research, published by Blackwell, encompasses a
vast range of subject matter, which changes with each
edition. Consequently the redesign of the cover
needed to be simple and clean, and about giving the
journal a visual style rather than trying to illustrate the
content. I then applied this style to other promotional
products such as leaflets, notepads, cards and
bookmarks. I also designed promotional material for
Monthly Notices of The Royal Astronomical Society
and the Sociology of Health and Illness
