ART EDITOR
2000 - 2003

After working abroad I decided to see what it'd be
like to work close to home and joined The Brighton
Source as Art Editor. Going from an international
glossy to a local listings mag involved quite a culture
shift on my part – not least because almost all of the
editorial pages had to accomodate advertising content.
Also I became a one-man band, designing the pages,
sourcing images and sending the final artwork to print.
I learnt a lot about production and reigned in the design
to give the magazine its own identity. Unfortunately
the logo was one thing I never got to change...
